About the Pikey Peak Trek
The Pikey Peak trek offers an easy, short route in the lower Everest region. It can be done in spring, autumn, and winter, and is perfect for those who want a quick taste of Himalayan trekking. Sir Edmund Hillary once mentioned that Pikey Peak (4065 m/13333 ft) gives one of the best views of Mt. Everest, making this trek a great option if you’re looking for a simpler, shorter adventure in the Solukhumbu area.
What to Expect on the Trek

Itinerary
We start our journey with a shared jeep ride. The road is rough and bumpy in some parts, but you’ll enjoy beautiful green views along the way.

Today we start trekking! We'll follow a trail past Phokte Danda and Sigane village, enjoying the first views of Everest, Numbur, and other peaks before reaching Jhapre.

We trek uphill through Lhamuje Danda and Bhulbhule, passing by a mani wall (stone wall with prayers) and a local cheese factory before arriving at the base camp.

We wake up early and hike to Pikey Peak for an unforgettable sunrise view. Afterward, we trek to Lamjura Danda, passing small villages like Jase Bhanjyang.

After breakfast, we descend through old forests to Taktor and join the Everest Base Camp trail briefly. Then, we continue on to the peaceful village of Junbesi.

We spend the day visiting the historic Thupten Choling Monastery, learning about local Buddhist culture. After visiting, we return to Junbesi for the night.

We continue trekking along the river, cross a suspension bridge, and walk through scenic areas until we reach Phaplu, where we spend the night.

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu in a shared jeep, taking about 8 hours.
